Beginning at Plaza 31 de Marzo with some general information about, Mexico, Chiapas, and the region around San Cristobal, this tour will dwell into the foundations, prehispanic roots, and colonial origins of the city. As we explore the various locales of San Cristobal, I will answer all your questions and point you towards amazing historical facts, beautiful architectural details, and more.
We will proceed towards the neo-classic constructions around the main block of the city and continue to the second square, also known as "Plaza de la Paz" and learn about the historical significance of this building. Walking on, we will explore the Santo Domingo market, where I will show you the traditional handcrafts and local textiles across different shops. I will also tell you more about the amber which comes from Chiapas as we continue to make our way towards the last stop on our tour: the Santo Domingo de Guzman ex-convent. We will finish the tour with the breathtaking view of the magnificent Baroque-style facade of this building and its surrounding areas.
