Let me live stream to you as I walk you through the historic quarter of Madrid known as the 'Madrid de Los Austrias'.
We will cover the city's main square, the Plaza Mayor, and then cross small alleys to get to the oldest restaurant in the world.
Then will go inside the San Miguel Market, one of the best gourmet markets in the city. See the Moorish influence in the architectural style of Madrid at Plaza de la Villa. In Calle Mayor, learn the story of an anarchist attacking the King on his wedding day. We will pass by the oldest construction of the city, the Muslim Wall from the IX Century, to stop at the strange Cathedral of the city, and I will tell you why it took so long to build it.
Before we finish the tour, we will see the Royal Palace, the biggest one in all of Europe. We will end the tour at Plaza de Oriente with amazing views of the Royal Palace and the Opera House. You may ask as many questions as you like about Spanish culture and history; I would love to interact with you!
