Description
Journey through time from the ancient to modern ages and be entertained and informed through stories of Ohrid, which also happens to be the hometown of the local guide who will be accompanying you on this live-streamed, interactive Online Experience.
On this tour, we will learn about how the "Jerusalem of the Balkans" was influenced from the Byzantine and the Roman era to the Ottomans and to the present day.
We will start from the oldest church in Macedonia, and walk on the streets constructed by the Ottomans, which will lead us to the Ancient Theatre. Then, we will continue walking uphill to Plaoshnik, a site that is of religious significance for the people of Ohrid. We will end the tour at the most photographed location in all of Macedonia, the Church of St. Jovan Kaneo perched atop a rock, where you will also be treated to scenic views of Lake Ohrid, the oldest lake in Europe.

Jordan Kocevski
I have been a professional tour guide for 7 years. I’m an outgoing person, easy to talk to, one who enjoys reading books and travelling the most. My love for tourism is also academic since I have a PhD in Tourism and Hospitality. I hope to become a well-known writer one day.
I love being a guide as it allows me to meet new and interesting people. The exchange of experiences and culture is what I love most about this interaction. I love my country and enjoy sharing my love with the people visiting by telling them stories and legends, showing them hidden gems and amusing them with just the right amount of information.
