Highlights
- Real-time walking tour live-streamed from Yerevan's expansive city centre
- See the places of interest and learn about Armenian history, culture, and traditions
Description
On this online walking tour, you will see everything from the expansive Republic Square located in the heart of the city, to souvenir items at the market and modern art statues at Cascade Complex. I will show you Armenian items included in UNESCO’s Intangible Heritage of Humanity, like the Armenian Cross-Stone and musical instrument Duduk. Passing through Northern Avenue, I will talk about the architecture, the Opera House, and the life and times of the Soviet regime. Yerevan is a city older than Rome, so you will see centuries-old architecture around. It is also known as the 'pink city' since many buildings have been constructed using pink tufa stone. When we reach the Cascade Complex, you will see modern outdoor exhibits like the Three Statues by Botero, and many other masterpieces created by international and Armenian sculptors.
