Walk with me on this online experience, live streamed from the historical streets of Bari.
We will start our interactive virtual tour at the Basilica of San Nicola, (where the Saint is buried) to stroll through small picturesque alleys and see beautiful sights such as the Cattedrale San Sabino the Castello Normanno Svevo.
At the Arco Basso, also known as the pasta street, you will see women making pasta. If you wish, I will halt here and request the ladies to demonstrate the process of making typical 'orecchiette'. We will then walk down 'Via Sparano', which is the main pedestrian street and see the elegant Palazzo Mincuzzi. We will proceed to the Teatro Petruzzelli where I will tell you what happened on one fateful day in 1991. Later, we will walk to the seafront where you can savour panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea. Depending on the time of your booking you will get the chance to witness the hustle and bustle at the fish market. We will wrap the tour at the Piazza Mercantile and Piazza del Ferrarese, the old walls with panoramic views of the town!
