Walk Around the Historic Town of Patan

Patan or the old name Lalitpur is an ancient city of Art in the Kathmandu Valley. It's a Buddhist town once ruled by Hindu Malla Kings in the medieval period. It is famous for metal craftsmanship, especially making masterpieces of Buddha statues and Godly figures in a traditional method called the "Lost Wax Method",. which is what Patan is all about. Visiting Durbar Square of Patan is like visiting an open museum treasured at every nook and corner. Towering Pagoda Temples, a historic stone water spout flowing since the 12th century, an ancient palace building with a golden gate and golden window, royal courtyards and some of the architectural wonders have been recently restored after the 2015 Earthquake. This a great example of restoration works praised by art lovers from around the world. It's a great place to experience a lot of history, an abundance of art, architecture and local lives in a short span of time within a limited area and, at last observation of mouth-watering Newari cuisine from Patan.
