Description
We will see the magnificent buildings of St Petersburg and learn about their history and significance. The city was built as the imperial capital and its architecture had to emanate the glory and grandeur of the Russian Empire, the largest overland empire in the world. We will go back to different periods of the city's history, from 1703 when the city was founded to the Golden Age of the Russian Empire in the late 18th - early 19th century, to the Revolution of 1917 and the Siege of Leningrad, the most destructive siege in human history. V interesting insights into St Petersburg. Guide was knowledgeable as well as presented unusual glimpses of the city.
Subsequently my friends & I signed up for 2-3 more tours and enjoyed them all. But MMT often says tours are full up so if you could send a direct mail with your schedule it would be nice
