Description
Join me for a walk in the Main Town district, which was once inhabited by the richest citizens and still is an amazing place to visit in Gdańsk.
This live-streamed online experience will start at the riverside on the island, where the old harbour was once located, from where we will go to see the central market place Długi Targ with all its gorgeous tenement houses from XVI and XVII centuries. Marvel at the four centuries-old Neptunes Fountain and the Main Town Hall on Długa Street, and then turn to see the St.Mary's Basilica, the biggest gothic brick church in the world.
Continue walking with me along the unique St.Mary's street, which is full of amazing porches with monster heads and shopping stalls selling amber. Then we will return to the riverside to see old river gates and end the tour by the Old Crane, the biggest medieval crane of the Baltic Sea and one of the main symbols of Gdańsk.
