Description
This live-streamed interactive Online Experience will allow you to explore Athens's rich history, mythology, and architecture like never before!
During this real-time virtual tour, we will visit Acropolis Hill and find the best spots to help you visualize the Golden Age of Pericles; this was the age during which most of the monuments were built on the hill. You will see and hear explanations about the Philopappos Hill, the Herodium Odeon, the Dionysius Theatre, the Pnyx Hill - the birthplace of Democracy and the Areopagus Hill.
We will stop before the Propylaea; here, you will have an excellent view of the Temple of Wingless Nike and the Ancient Agora, where Socrates, Plato and Aristotle introduced great philosophical schools. Walk with me to the top of Propylaea; from here, you will see the breathtaking Parthenon and the Erechtheion temple opposite it, where the Karyatides stood instead of columns to support the roof.

Meet your Host
Niki Vlachou
In 1997, I graduated from Greece's school for tour guides and started offering guiding services for many areas all over Greece, in Greek, English and French. Fast forward a few years, in 2002, I was lucky enough to start collaborating with Rick Steves. Eventually, that led into meeting him in person and accompanying him to some of his travels throughout Greece. It is my privilege and pleasure to be able to guide visitors and show them my country that I love and respect.
