Description
Bukhara is located on the crossroads of the Great Silk Road. It is one of the 7 holy cities in the Islamic World and has preserved a rich cultural heritage over many centuries. The city is also called 'the museum under the open sky', as the Old Town is home to more than 140 historical monuments.
In this live-streamed, interactive online experience, you will get to explore the landmark attraction of Bukhara, the Poi-Kalon Complex. We will visit the Kalon Minaret, the oldest minaret in Uzbekistan, and then proceed to spend some time at the the Kalon Mosque which is the second biggest mosque in Central Asia. We will then go to the Mir-i-Arab Madrasa, the only Madrasa which functioned even during the Soviet regime!
Since Bukhara was one of the biggest trading centres along the Great Silk Road, we will also walk through one of its abundant covered bazaars, and end our tour here.
