Take a walking tour, live-streamed from this famous Victorian-era park made for the enjoyment of New Yorkers and lavishly decorated to outdo the fame of various others in Paris and London.
You will see glittering outcrops of bedrock, two bodies of water, gorgeous little bridges, dozens of curved walking paths, and one long straight path overhung by American elm trees. This path is studded with statues of writers, beginning with Shakespeare.
City streets pass under the park through tunnels. Only one street passes over the surface of the park. We will go under it through an arcade of Canadian sandstone topped with English tiles from Stoke-on-Trent.
You will recognize movie locations from such films as 27 Dresses, Elf, Home Alone 2, and John Wick, among dozens of other scenes from famous films. The tour ends at the park's centrepiece, the Bethesda fountain.
