Description
The Moon and Monkey Temples are two amazing Inca sites located next to the traditional Inca trail. Join me on this live-streamed, interactive Online Experience to these Inca temples and search for different animal carvings made by his ancestors and unveil their secrets, all from the comfort of your own home!
The Temple of the Monkey nowadays is called Cuscillochayoq. Here, we will search for the rocks with Andean monkey and puma carvings. We will focus our search on a rock that natives call Mother Earth's Heart - it is believed my ancestors may have used it during ceremonies, a fact I will tell you more about during our tour.
Following the Inca trail, we will arrive at the Temple of the Moon, popularly known amongst locals as Amarumarkawasi or Chuquimarka. This temple might have been the site of one of the three Sun Temples. Above the Temple of the Moon, we will join heads and look for other animal carvings like puma, condor and snake. As we will be pretty high up, you will get to enjoy the unparalleled view of Cusco City that this place has to offer.
