Description
Founded in 1898 and originally known as the Imperial University of Peking, Peking University (PKU) was the first national university to be established in China and has been a leading institution of higher education and research ever since. Throughout its history, Peking University has played an integral role in advancing knowledge and the betterment of society. Generations of preeminent scholars, politicians, entrepreneurs, and innovators educated at Peking University have profoundly shaped China’s modernisation and continue to pioneer the nation’s developments. This Online Experience will allow you to get to know the university campus better and learn more about how well-suited PKU is for you.
We will start our tour at the west gate of the University and take a walk around the lakes. As we walk, I will prime you about the various types of degrees available here for international students. Then, we will move on towards the library, visiting the eastern gate of the university on our way and learning about the nearest subway station. After we explore the library from within, I will show you the facial recognition feature that can be found everywhere on the campus. Next, we will visit the convenience stores and learn more about life in and around campus. Our tour will end with a visit to the cafeteria, and with me answering any questions you may have about the university, its history, and studying here today.

I am a senior student at Peking University. I will be the tour guide of the Campus Tour. I love my university, and I have been here for more than three years. So I am glad to introduce my school to those who are keen to study here and help you better understand our campus and how student life is like. My major is International Politics, and our faculty has a really high ratio of international students to domestic students.
