Description
Marvel at the Itsukushima shrine and see the floor, ebb and flow of seawater with a hidden pond and reflection of the Five Storied Pagoda and Senjokaku-Pavilion on the pond depending upon the condition of the tide. Understand how and why the shrine was built on the shore and how it has been maintained since the 12th century. The expert guide will share the remote part of the Great Torii Gate (under major repair) standing alone on the shore. Also, see the underpass of the Senjokaku-Pavillion and the Five Storied Pagoda.
