Highlights
- Real-time tour of the lovely Nimbin Village with Wendy, your local guide
- Peek into charming outlets, from candle making and art workshops to the interesting Hemp embassy
Description
Join a live-streamed tour of Nimbin, a quirky town near Byron Bay that makes you feel like you’ve returned to the summer of love in 1969. Some people liken it to Haight-Ashbury in San Francisco. It is home to colourful artwork and lovely locals. Walk with me as I take you on a virtual tour of this wonderful village. We will visit the Hemp Embassy and learn about what they are doing to legalize marijuana. We will also visit Nimbin Candles, where you will see how amazing candles are made by hand. Walking around the street, I will also see other shops with cool art.

Wendy Bithell
Wendy has been an eco-tour guide in the Byron Bay area for the past 13 years. Her business offers walks, wildlife tours, hinterland, and cultural tours. She shares her knowledge of the natural and human history of the area with a unique blend of humour and passion for the environment. She is the only land-based guide in this region with Advanced Ecotourism certification and she has won gold for eco-tourism in last year’s regional tourism awards. Wendy knows where to go to get the best wildlife experience, avoid the crowds (or find them if that’s what you are after) and she can tell you where to buy the best sushi in the shire. She loves trivia, comedy, and good food. When she is not guiding, you will find her kayaking, hiking, planting trees, or supporting local live entertainment and community events.
