Description

Caesarea is famous for being one of Israel's most beautiful, photogenic, and important biblical sites. This ancient city was established from scratch by King Herod the Great about 2000 years ago and became one of the most luxurious cities of the Roman world, even serving as Israel's capital back in the day.

In this Online Experience, I will take you on a virtual tour through this ancient Roman town along the Mediterranean coast. We will see the 2000-year-old Roman Theatre, which is active even to this day and has been famously used for open-air concerts for artists like Eric Clapton and Bryan Adams. Next, we will focus on the Pontius Pilate Palace, used by Herod the Great as a comfortable residence and a fortress. I will also take you to the amphitheatre that hosted many bloody gladiatorial battles and show you the remains of the old port, which was the source of glory and wealth for the city. Throughout our walk, I will regale you with stories and facts related to the city's present and past.
