Description
Travel back in time with this interactive, live-streamed online experience as we visit Wat Yai Chai Mongkhon, one of the ancient temple ruins in Ayutthaya, the former capital of Thailand. The temple was discovered in the second half of the 14th century. During the Burmese invasion of 1767, the temple was largely destroyed.
On this virtual tour, I will walk around the ruins to show you countless statues of the Buddha and tell you the significance of various sitting positions. We will also have an interactive chat about the history of this ancient Thai city, the temple and Thai culture, and learn more about how it also ties up with the religious mythology of South Asia.
