Description
This Online Experience, live streamed from Berlin will help unearth the story of the city's difficult Nazi history.
Starting from from the Reichstag where Hitler first took power, you will learn what allowed an educated and progressive country like Germany to fall into the hands of the Third Reich. I will take you through several memorials in the centre of Tiergarten Park dedicated to the many different victims of Nazi tyranny, including a mass grave site of Soviet soldiers who died during the Battle of Berlin. During our walk, you will learn about Hitler's plans to completely redesign Berlin and turn it into an unrecognisable city. We will see where Hitler's bunker used to lie and the memorials erected to some of the brave people who rose and fought against fascism.
If you are interested in World War II or Nazi history, this tour will give you a deeper understanding of the events that shaped our world as we know it today, and contextualise Berlin as the most violent conflict in human history to date.
