Description

Bucharest may not be one of the most famous cities in the world, but it has a truly rich heritage full of striking contrasts and incredible stories from the past. In the last two centuries, this city has experienced wars, earthquakes and was decidedly influenced by the politics: Monarchy followed by Communism.

On this live-streamed online experience, you will check out the top landmarks in Bucharest: the Romanian Athenaeum, Victoria Avenue, the former Royal Palace and Revolution Square. You will understand the significance of these places while gaining insight into the history of Romania. In order to provide you with the full picture of the impact of historical events, your guide will tell personal stories about life under communism and how this regime ended over 30 years ago. Besides, you will uncover the connection between Bucharest and Dracula and why it is deemed 'Little Paris' as we go on a casual stroll through the city centre.

This will not be just a historical tour, but a visual storytelling experience that's packed with anecdotes and curiosities, as well as questions and answers throughout.

Bucharest, the city where she lives, is a constant source of inspiration and awe due to its past, architecture, culture and people, something she always love to share with her guests, live or virtually. She wants to make sure that each person interested in Bucharest gets the best this city offers in terms of experiences and stories.

She believes that the best way to discover a new place is by talking to a local guide because this person can reveal their essence and make the experience truly fun and memorable. Achieving this is her goal as a tour guide.

Mihai Caprarescu has been a full-time licensed guide in Bucharest for the past 5 years and offers private tours in other beautiful and historical parts of Romania too. An excellent way to spend an hour in Bucharest. Adina is a friendly and knowledgeable guide and there was plenty of time to ask questions on this interactive tour. She made excellent use of photos and documents which she shared on screen eg the Triumph Arch and also a visit to a landmark hotel where you could compare it now with a photo of it's former elegance. She also shared local and personal stories. Highly recommended.
