Highlights
- Explore Caminito, which is full of cafes, restaurants, street murals, and art
- Marvel at the wonderful performances of the tango dancers on the street
Description
The colourful section of Caminito at Boca is much more than those beautiful happy houses in tin; the Caminito area is the starting point to understanding our behaviour, tango, soccer, art, history and politics. This is a not to be missed area with rooms, street murals, and other pieces of art, but it is also a melting place where you can find tango dancers, artistic souvenirs, cafes and restaurants, art galleries and cookie shops. The essences of tango and soccer are floating in the air, as well as the presence of Benito Quinquela, the painter who put this neighbourhood on the world map. We will stroll Caminito street and its surroundings, watching those coloured tenements where massive immigrants were first established in the country. We will get nice and poetic stories about the origins of the Italian flavour of Argentina and course, tango! We will watch the street Tango dancers, the singers and stories about this particular dance in Argentina.
