Join me on a virtual tour of my lovely hometown Osaka, the second-largest city in Japan. Osaka is well known for its food and friendly locals. I will share with you the city's culture as well as travelling tips such as what to eat, where to visit, and what souvenirs to buy. Through this session we will learn to speak some key Japanese phrases and expressions in a fun way.
We will start this interactive experience with a self-introduction in Japanese. I will also quiz you about Osaka. We will cover the following topics in this session:
- Greetings
- Shopping
- Restaurants
- Trouble Shooting
I can also provide a handy pocket-sized survival Japanese sheet and voice record by PDF after the session so that you can continue practising. After this session, you would feel more confident while communicating with a Japanese local.

I was born and raised in Osaka and a native of the city. You can ask me anything about Osaka, whether its food, sightseeing spots, hidden gems, or nightlife. I'm a freelance Japanese teacher & Osaka local guide. I've been teaching Japanese to foreigners for more than 10 years. I started working as a tour guide in Osaka a few years ago and hosted more than 100 groups. I love showing my lovely hometown and sharing my stories with the guests. Also, I love traveling and meeting new people outside of Japan. I'm always discovering more hidden places and have a good time with the locals.
