Join me on this live-streamed online experience and together we will head into Rotterdam to explore its wealth of exciting modern architecture!
We will start our virtual tour with a visit to one of the Cube Houses, used as a museum. Thereafter we will walk through the old harbour and get in one of the latest MVDRV projects, a combination of apartments and food-hall.
After a ten-minute bike ride, we will reach the area from where in the old days many Europeans left on the Holland America Line to New York, then known as New Amsterdam. We will finish the tour in Hotel New York, the former office of the Holland America Line. Through out this online experience, I will be sharing interesting facts about the places we visit, you can ask as many questions you want.

Ton Van Garderen
I am a Social Geographer and a certified national tour guide, I have a strong interest in history, architecture, art, society. In 1986, I graduated in Social Geography. Thereafter I worked for the city of Amsterdam in town-planning. There I discovered that office life is not my cup of tea. In 1994, I decided to make a living out of guiding in Amsterdam and other Dutch towns. I never regretted that decision. Working with people and sharing knowledge is big fun!
