The Shilin night market and many such markets spread all over the city also has a clothes and accessories section; for higher end shopping head to Taipei 101, also popular as the second tallest building in the world!  Make time to for a hike to the Yangmingshan National Park to get sweeping city views and then soak off those tired muscles at the famous Xinbeitou Hot Springs. Another innovative way to get a view of Taipei from the top is to look through the glass floors of the Maokong Gondola that starts at the Taipei Zoo.
