    • The tour starts with a walk around Lake Bled and then a boat ride into the Heart of the lake. While boating, see the Church of the Mother of God on the lake, which is the island's most recognisable landmark, and the tour guide will give you the history of the Island. The "Wishing Bell" within the church is what makes it famous among the many island tourists; by ringing it, people recommend themselves to the Mother of God and make requests of her.
    • Take public transport or hike up to the entrance to the castle situated on a hilltop and move to what once was a chapel. This chapel has beautifully painted walls and ceilings, which give it the illusion of being larger than it is.
    • After the chapel, you will visit the museum at the castle to see some of the highlights and stories about the man who started tourism in Bled by promoting it as a therapeutic place. The castle's terrace, which rises 125m (140 yards) above the lake, will give you a gorgeous panoramic view of the Bled city, Lake Bled, and the island. Along with the wonderful view, you will be accompanied by the stories of legends and the life of the locals in Bled.
    • Next, you will visit a copy of Gutenberg's printing house, which is located in the vicinity, and you will find out all about printing and how it was carried out six hundred and fifty years ago.

  • Please note that the castle has two levels of inner courtyards, and only stairs are available, with no elevator. Guests will need to walk approximately 200 meters uphill on a stone-cobbled path from the parking lot below the castle. If we choose to do the tour without vehicles from the lake level, guests should be prepared to walk uphill for about 30 minutes, with a substantial elevation difference of approximately 430 feet between the lake and the castle on the high rock. However, please rest assured that the guide can lead the walk from either starting point, be it the lake or the parking lot.
  • Bled is the image of paradise on Earth. The beauty of nature cradling this wonderful city is what attracts guests from all over the world to visit. On this tour, the guide will take you through the history of Bled and its castle. Since 1004, the castle has stood on a mighty rock above the lake. Old archaeological finds testify that this area was inhabited as early as the Stone Age.

    A Foggy Yet Enchanting Experience

The trip to Bled and back to Ljubljana was truly memorable, despite the thick fog that enveloped the day. Our guide, made the journey incredibly engaging by sharing fascinating information along the way, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere throughout the half-day tour. Despite the limited visibility, our visit to the Castle offered glimpses of the breathtaking view.
