• Start your travel with a visit to the City Of London District – which is a bustling financial and shopping district, full of posh localities.

• Stop here to see some of London symbols like Red Busses, colourful buildings and thousands of workaholic people hurrying up to reach somewhere. But we don’t have to be a part of this rush, we will stop at one of the most interesting places, the Temple Church, which is famous for its connection with Templar Knights.

Trivia: One of the loveliest places to visit in London, Temple Church found a mention in Dan Brown’s novel The Da Vinci Code (also a Hollywood Film). Witness the place of the scene set inside the church, where Langston and Sophie, along with Leah Teabing came to solve the riddle: In London lies a knight a Pope interred. His labour’s fruit a Holy wrath incurred. You seek the orb that out be on his tomb. It spoke about Rosy flesh and seeded womb.

• Whether we can solve the riddle or not, it is time to take a City of London Tour. Begin with a walk to The Tower of London.

• Now proceed towards the Tower Bridge to see Tamiza River. Keep your cameras ready! 

My Personal Tip: Since walking everywhere is pretty difficult, you can use the metro during your visit in London. Buy an Oyster Card and go whenever you want. If you are staying in the Pimlico district, then it is a very good place to start sightseeing in London.

• After Tower of London and Tower Bridge, our next step is London Eye, Westminster Bridge, Big Ben and a Palace of Westminster. Westminster District, which is incredibly beautiful and interesting.

• The Royal Westminster Tour takes about 4 hours. See the Westminster Cathedral, which is quite close to Victoria Coach Station - the largest and most popular bus station in London. You can catch a bus from here to get to other cities. 

• Done with sightseeing, it is now time for some shopping in the oldest market of London, the Leadenhall Market. The 14th-century shopping avenue is set in the spectacular Victorian market setting. This bustling commercial area has numerous independent and high street shops, offices and a wide variety of bars, pubs and restaurants. A Shopaholic's heaven for sure. 

• Tired for the day? We end the tour here and transfer back to the hotel for dinner and overnight. 

• Begin the day with Chinatown, it is fun to go at the time when the shops are opening. The lively and colourful district is full of restaurants and places to visit! Let's check out the delicious green or red curry.

• After a luscious Chinese curry, our next stop is the Covent Garden - a shopping, food and cultural place in London. Street performers and artists are always active there.  This lively andcolourful district has plenty of boutiques, handicraft shops, places to drink a great coffee or to east something in Asia-to-go style.
  

• Just in the corner of the Covent Garden is the famous Royal Opera House, where you can see world-class performances by the Royal Opera or Royal Ballet. It recently celebrated The World Emoji Day... surprised? 

• Walk towards the Piccadilly Circus, which is one of the most entertaining places in London. If you are thinking, that this is a circus... then you are absolutely wrong! Piccadilly Circus is a busy square in the heart of London, which is famous for the 19th-century fountain and the neon advertising that turned the square into a miniature version of Times Square.

• While here, check out the “Cool Britannia” shop for the gifts and souvenirs which you can buy and all kind of British symbols in one place. We can hang out here, before going to the nearby Soho, Leicester Square and Trafalgar Square. 

Trivia: The Phrase “Cool Britannia” was popularised in 90’s by artists like Oasis, Spicer Girls or Blur. They were inspired by 60’s, when “Cool Brittania” has a patriotic meaning. Piccadilly is a place full of theatres like Criterion Theatre, Prince of Wales Theatre, Apollo Theatre,  Piccadilly Theatre. You can also experience “Les Miserables Theatre Show” or maybe you’d rather see “A Phantom of the Opera”? Not a problem! Everyone will find something entertaining here, in Piccadilly. Her Majesty’s Theatre is one of the most beautiful buildings in London.

• The tour ends here as we return to the hotel for dinner and overnight.

• This day is full of attractions, we visit the British Museum with its stunning Museum forecourt like in most of the biggest museum in the United Kingdom, British Museum is for free (permanent exhibitions). 

• You will be amazed by the monumental south entrance with its collonade and stairs. British Museum’s architecture has been borrowed from ancient Greek style. The building was completed in 1852 and it includes galleries for classical sculpture and Assyrian antiquities as well as residences for staff.

• Exhibitions here are marvellous, especially the ones about Mesopotamia and Ancient Egypt (great collection of mummies). We plan to stay in this museum for 2 hours, but if it is less for you, then, we can also spend half a day there. 

Trivia: Considered older than the USA, British Museum was the backdrop of 15 Hollywood movies (more to come) like The Wakefield Cause, Day of the Jackal, Alfred Hitchcock’s Blackmail and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014).

What you should know: The museum is home to one of the biggest artifacts collection in the world. It opens everyday at 10 a.m. and closes at 5 p.m. from Saturday till Wednesday and on Friday the timings are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. The Great Court has different hours of opening, check it on the British Museum Website. The Museum does not charge any fee to visit. 

Closest metro stations: Tottenham Court Road (Central Line and Northern Line), Holborn (Central Line and Piccadily Line) and Russell Square (Piccadilly line). 

• Our next stop is the Natural History Museum, which is full of loud school groups but it’s really worth visiting, especially when you travel with your child. The nearest Tube station here is Gloucester Road and South Kensington - it takes five minutes to get to the museum. This place is a must visit for nature and dinosaurs lovers. Discover minerals, beautiful butterflies, botanical, entomology, zoology and palaeontology collections. 

• After that, we visit Victoria & Albert Museum with one of the finest art and design collections in the world with over 2 to 3 million objects. Beautiful Victorian building sets museum established in 1852 - one year after the Great Exhibition. You can consider about half a day for checking all the collections and exhibitions.

What you should know: The highlight of the museum exhibitions are theatre and performances as well as Renaissance and paintings exhibition, which include British and European oil and water-colour paintings. You will find incredible plaster sculptures, Santiago de Compostella gate, Celtic crosses, all in one hall. Marvel at the talent of the British to collect art and historical items. 

Timings: It is opened every day from 10 a.m. until 5.45 p.m and Friday until 10 p.m.

• From Victoria & Albert Museum, we proceed to the famous Hyde Park and see the Royal Albert Hall and Royal College of Music. The main attraction here is the Speaker’s Corner, which has kept alive the public speeches and debate tradition since 1800’s. 

• Let us now sit and relax in the spectacular Rose Garden, which is situated in the south-east corner of Hyde Park. You can stroll in the garden and take pictures.
  

• This day is dedicated to shopping. So, we head to a lovely & lively place to spend a whole day, which is near Hampstead Road Lock and Regent’s Canal (“Camden Lock”). A popular tourist attraction in London, it dates back to the beginning of 20th Century. Though not a typical shopping market - it is a colourful, cosmopolitan, full of great food stops and interesting cafes. The clothes sold here, might not impress you, but if you are looking for antique, souvenirs and design things lovers - you will be spoilt for choices. 

• Let us us now go to Camden Lock Village and take some pictures of Camden charming Regent’s Canal. It is a really an “alternative place”. 

• Take a walk around Camden High Street full of old pubs. It is a heaven for goth, rock, punk & reggae subculture. You will easy find typical British T-shirts for 15 GBP.  Camden Market itself has interesting history and it’s great just for sightseeing. 
  

What you should know: By bus (line 24) and metro you can easily reach Camden Town.

• Grosvernon Road is one of the most beautiful and one of the longest streets in London. It is a perfect stop for Tamiza lovers to take some pictures. 

• Visit the Tate Modern Gallery with a collection of international modern and contemporary art. One of the most popular art galleries in the world, it sees more than 5.7 million footfalls every year. It boasts of a collection and holds masterpieces of international and British modern art. 

Trivia: If you are a book lover in addition to art, then this complex has the Tate Modern Bookshop in the Turbine Hall. It is one of the best art bookshops in London. It is stocked with copies of past exhibition catalogue and has a great range of illustrated children’s books. Tate Publishing is a leader in visual arts too. 

What you should know: Ticket for this attraction is free, except special exhibitions. Tate Modern is opened every day from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. with longer hours on Friday and Saturday (until 10 p.m). Tate Modern is a finalist for Art Fund Museum of the Year 2017. 

• Just another half an hour walk and we reach the prestigious Buckingham Palace, which served as the official London residence of the UK’s sovereigns since 1837. Today is the administrative headquarters of the Monarch.

What you should know: If you visit London between 22nd July to 1st October, you can take a Buckingham Palace tour and visit the State Rooms, Royal Giftsand The Garden - this visit takes approximately 2 hours and is available also with London Pass card.
