I knew Saaghi during a trip in Iran in 2012 and met her in Yazd. There she guided me in a tour of the city, showing me beautiful places of Yazd and explaining me very well everything of the monuments, the buildings, the culture and lifestyle of the paces where she lives. By chance I couldn't be with her during the excursion that she organises in the desert and in the places of Zoroastrian past near Yazd, but some friends of mine went and they were enthusiastic Furthermore, she could help me a lot during my trip also when I was in other cities, giving me advice whenever I needed help

I travelled to Yazd in 2013 on a solo trip. Saghi was a friendly companion and a great source of knowledge when we walked over much of the old part of the city. She pointed out and explained things that I either didn't notice or didn't understand their significance. Such as tile work in the masjed-e jameh, which I thought were geometric patterns but were in fact Kufic designs. Then I started to notice these elsewhere; and walking above a qanat in half a second, when water is of course of crucial significance in the Yazd desert. Walking around the city, Saghi explained about the type of food which is local or special to Yazd. These are things that the uninformed traveller would pass by. Saghi also helped me to extend my visa, something I feel I would not have been able to do on my own. This was a tremendous weight off my mind and enabled me to explore Iran a while longer. On my last night in Yazd we went to a zurkhane, and again Saghi explained about the activities of the men in the ring, and the murshed on the raised platform. This would have been lost to me without such a helpful guide. There is a lot to see in Yazd, and my trip with Saghi as my guide has given me some very happy memories. I would recommend Saghi to any prospective visitor.
