The prospect of a trek (even a short one) as part of my recent visit to Nepal was a bit daunting.  I am a longtime walker and hiker but I wasn't sure (at the age of 61) that I was also a Himalayan Trekker.  However Hem and our porter quickly demonstrated that I and my travel companion were in good hands.  We recently did a classic 4 day/3 night trek through Gorapani and never had a moment of problem or stress.  The lodges he picked were fun and funky and it was clear that Hem was attending to my pace without being overly concerned.  The trek was a very nice life accomplishment! 

We had a great experience thanks to Hem and Samundra (porter). They really looked after us and helped us through the tough times uphill, and even found me a pair of walking sticks for the steep walk downhill!

It was nice to talk with Hem about the Nepalese culture and customs. We really felt like trekking together as a group of four, this made us feel real comforatble. Hem was really cheerfull and always in for a joke, and he was always willing to share his knowlegde and experience with us.

Before the trek raju took care of everything. And during the trek he always wanted to help us whenever it was possible. He is the nicest and most helpful person we met in Nepal. It was a pleasure to be guided by him. If you want to do trekking I advise you to go with him. His english is perfect and also is knowledge is impressive.
