We had an excellent tour with Cecil! He has a wealth of knowledge about WWI and truly enjoys sharing that with others. We had a 4 hour tour booked but he spent over 6 hours with us (and it was his birthday!) because he loves his job so much and was having such a fun time teaching us about and taking us to all of the key sites. He had maps, photos, and information on all the sites as we visited them. He was very easy to talk to and kept all of us (including two 12 year olds) engaged. Overall it was a fantastic experience! Highly recommend!

Cecil arrived on time and communicated well before arrival and collected us with our luggage and drove us to Nancy as arranged. However, we were shocked his car had obviously not been cleaned, was extremely dirty. Whilst he showed us around the city but by his own admission was not adequately informed on this particular city.

What a fantastic day on the battlefields of Verdun, guided by Cecil. He was able to explain the sites, the stories, the history and the context in perfect English in a way that felt that he was very much part of our group of 10. Cecil took the time to discover our interests and structured the tour accordingly. Verdun is an incredible battlefield but the experience was greatly enhanced and brought to life under Cecil’s expert guidance. All the group were highly impressed with his knowledge and expertise. Would highly recommend.
