After having discovered some cities in India I arrived in Mamallapuram willing to see rural India. It’s in this beautiful town where I met Kumar. He proposed me to make me discover that place where he lives. During that day I observed the fantastic knowledge of Kumar concerning the indian culture and the visited places.

I asked him to show me other places during 2days. Even if that day was Diwali he said « I’ll find you in 30 minutes at your hotel and we go »... what means he will not be with his children for what is New year for us.

I spent 2 fantastic days with Kumar I will never forget in my life. 

Kumar is a real professional with extended local network. He his really human and loves his job. If you open your mind and heart to Kumar you will discover a fantastic guy. Kumar can explain you everything about indian society, with him you will meet people and discover many incredible places. Ask him what you really would like to see, be precise, and he will show you. I’m travelling a lot and when I meet someone like Kumar I just understand why I like travelling .. so I do it again.. I hope to come back and spend 1 week with him all around the country!

Abbiamo trascorso tutta la giornata con shankaran. Gentile e disponibile, parla inglese, un po' di francese e qualche parola di italiano. Ha contrattato per noi il prezzo di alcuni acquisti e, a fine giro, ci ha portato nel negozietto del suo villaggio.

Simpatico e molto gentile,  parla discreto inglese e anche un po' francese. 

Valido il ristorante x il pranzo.  

In gruppo 9 ci ha chiesto 1000 rupie,  abbiamo lasciato manco 200.

Tocca visita a negozio di famiglia di statuine,  non economico ma a favore artisti della comunità.  

Vale la pena.
