My husband and I and another couple came to Capetown early for a few days touring prior to boarding a cruise. It was roughly set up as a wine and city tour. Upon meeting George we were all delighted to discover that he was very cheerful, personable, and wanted to tailor the tour to our individual tastes. Among other feats, he timed things just so to get us onto Table Mountain while it was remarkably clear (a rare feat), and told us interesting facts about the plants and animals up there. We visited wonderful wineries and tasted chocolates as well. When he discovered that we were birders, he first brought us to a winery with a parade of ducks and then he brought us to a winery that does raptor rescue - all while serving excellent wine of course. We witnessed a phenomal raptor show and then got to personally visit some of the rehabbed birds. This included having owls perch all over us! It was so much fun. George also took us to see the penguin colony in Simon's Town and to a rock shop since we are all rock and gem collectors. In essence, he treated us to a whopping good time and was fun to be with as well as very knowledgeable about all that we saw and did. You can't go wrong with George as your guide.
