My husband and I just returned from a fifteen day Grand Circle Travel Land trip to Sicily. The overall excellence of our vacation was primarily based on the quality of our program director-Marcello Torrisi. Daily he went above and beyond, sharing his homeland’s people, culture, traditions, and food with us. He was active, alert, visible, prompt, and available-watching over, counting, and continually checking on every participant. We enjoyed his wit and surprise trips and activities. Thank you so much, Marcello, for all the “extras” and for making our trip the adventure of a lifetime.

Bravo Marcello! Marcello is the best!  He is well informed, funny, insightful, a problem solver, a great linguist and provides a most authentic look at Sicily. He provides little "extras" of local people, food, entertainment and wonderful family stories. if you are lucky you can meet his Mama! He deserves the highest rating!

We loved having Marcello for our Guide a year ago, or was it two already??? with GCT !  Funny and fun, but informative and seemingly, he never sleeps!   Even during his "Down Time" I'd catch him on his phone, huddled into a doorway, making sure that the restaurant or historic museum or cathedral would be ready for our arrival, or he'd be changing last minute travel plans for folks who had an emergency back home.  But, throughout the entire tour, I never saw him lose his cool, nor his always present laugh and smile!  We loved him so much, we invited him to come stay with us on his tour of the East Coast of the U.S. last year!   He taught ME lots about my home town and our surrounding county that even I never knew, though I've lived here for 40 years!
