We are back only 2 days from our 3rd Egyptian adventure. My husband Mark and I are in love with Egypt and the old culture and art. Amany and I worked over a few weeks to puzzle together a custom made program that would take us from North to South and back. 

The execution of that program was done perfectly. All time appointments were made. Package price was honoured. We got a lot of nice facts about the Country and its customs that we were not yet familiar with.

We were especially happy to have been taken around by an Egyptian woman (two actually, cause she arranged for Marwa to guide us in the South, another friend for life). Their stories gave us a better insight of the daily life.

We were in contact all the time by Whatsapp, so if something unforseen would happen, she could always inform us.

As a special service, Amany was always ready to take pictures. Both with here own, as well as with our camera. All pictures she took were send to us the same day. 

Amany, I still owe you ours, but give me some time to make a selection out of the 1500 pictures.

We spent two full days with Amany in Cairo, packing in the sites we wanted to see, including the most-visited ones.  She certainly knows her way around the city and the sites; she and her drivers navigated us around crowds and the crazy traffic. What we liked best is that she listened to our desire a few things off the beaten path and experience the "real" Cairo. We stopped at a few places for food (a key interest), for example, that aren't regular tourist hot-spots. We asked to see some of the back alleys of Cairo's bustling souks and that was no problem.  And when we turned down camel rides and some other over-the-top tourist activities, she was totally understanding. Amany is fun, gentle and kind, and you can tell she's no rookie at this. When a museum was unexpectedly closed, she handled it well and found alternative activities. Language skills were good, though it was sometimes difficult to hear from a couple seats back in the van. 

On top of this, Amany also coordinated guides and tours in Aswan and Luxor. Planning was excellent pre-trip in making these arrangements. However, there was some slight confusion in both spots with our guides there since they were booked thru a company, and the quality wasn't as good as Amany.  I would recommend booking directly with guides there so you know exactly who you are dealing with, rather than a company. No fault of Amany's -- just better when you deal direct.

Overall, we highly recommend Amany for your travels. There are A LOT of guides out there, and you'd be hard-pressed to find someone with the knowledge and expertise of Amany. 

Un giorno intero insieme ad Amany a spasso tra le piramidi di Giza e Saqqara. Una guida impeccabile tra le meraviglie dell'Egitto. Giornata intensa ma ben gestita e organizzata. Amany é una grande conoscitrice della antica storia dell'Egitto e del suo straordinario popolo. Ci ha mostrato e descritto piu di quanto potessimo aspettarci da un tour di un solo giorno. Il tuor partito al mattino si é concluso alla sera in un tramonto indimenticabile. Non sono mancate le pause ristoratrici e un ottimo pranzo in un locale tipico in cui abbiamo potuto assaporare piatti tradizionali.  Amany parla perfettamente anche l'italiano. Inomma da non perdere!
