Samuel was an excellent guide. He made a point of meeting with us the day before and tailored his tour to our requests. Not only is he very knowledgeable about birds and other widkllife, he also knows how to put his knowledge across in an accessible way. We were a mixed group in terms of our knowledge of birds and Malawi, and all of us rated Samuel very highly. He is also friendly, and an unflappable driver.

We have passed several stays with Samuel as our guides and each and every one is exhilarating and informative. Samuel goes out of his way to accomodate even the youngest guest, he always finds new pieces of information to hand over. He is extremely knowledgeable on basically everything around, no shrub, insect or bird escapes his attention.

The only downside of having Samuel as a guide is that eventually, you do have to leave... Heartbreaking!

SAmuel is a perfect   guide, expert  and highly educated in birds, trees, mammals and natural history generally. He is also an exceptionally nice person, going to great lengths to ensure that all m embers Of the party saw all birds and animals, always good humoured and working 16 hour days with total commitment. He guided us for six days in Malawi and was by far the best guide we had in the entire trip, excellent though the other guides were.
