Excellent experience

Reviewed October 12, 2016

My husband and I had only 4 hours for a quick tour of Guadalajara while we were in the city for a wedding, and Xavier provided a lot of information and sights in that period of time.  He organized the time very well, focusing on the incredible Orozco murals.  He knows the city well and provides interesting insights about more recent events as well as the traditional Mexican history and art history.  He was very conscientious about getting us back to our hotel on time, in spite of the traffic.  I recommend him without hesitation.

Spend the day with Xavier, you wont regret it!

Xavier taught me and my parents so much about Mexican and Guadalajaran history during our day tour. He's so knowledgeable, with excellent English and lots of cool stories and insider info. He was super patient with us as we had to take breaks to care for my infant, and we felt relaxed the whole time. In fact, we were so relaxed and kind of tired after walking downtown, so we decided to skip out on the second part of our tour which would have taken us to Tlaquepaque. It would have been nice to do that another day but we ran out of time.

A few tips:

- Xavier confirmed via email more than a month in advance and was responsive, reliable, and prompt

- Everything was included (parking, museum fees) except for the entrance fee to the Hospicio Cabanas.

- We had our stroller with us and was pleasantly surprised at the handicapped ramps around town.

- Try to think ahead about food and communicate with Xavier about where/what you want to eat. The hunger kind of hit us suddenly and we ended up eating in a cafe which was just "so-so" and wasn't nearly as delicious or memorable as the other food we had in GDL.

- Check the weather and bring your umbrella! and also consider that traffic can get pretty bad at certain times.

Enjoy your trip, and go with Xavier, you wont regret it!
