Susan responded promptly to my initial email requesting tour services on short notice, and continued to communicate promptly and clearly in response to follow-up questions, which I greatly appreciated. She also worked her best to accommodate my interests and was very flexible with the practical arrangements. In the end, my friend and I wound up asking Susan to give us an in-depth tour of the Pashupatinath temple complex that lasted several hours. Susan walked us through many different corners of the temple complex and explained Hindu religious customs related to cremation in a way that was both knowledgeable and respectful. She has a warm, engaging personality and answered our many detailed questions with patience and thoughtfulness. We enjoyed speaking with her, and also learned a lot in the process!

My wife and I decided to take a four day visit to Kathmandu in October 2015. We found Susan Manandhar, a licensed tour guide, while searching for personal tour guides and feel fortunate that we did. Her references were excellent and she lived up to them. Susan met us at the airport took us back to the airport and handled everything in between. Through correspondence, she arranged a nice hotel in a handy location. For various tours, she picked us up at the hotel with a good driver and car - In Kathmandu, you need an excellent driver. Except for a walking tour, our driver dropped us off and picked us up as close to the sites as possible and watched our belongings while we toured. Susan arranged a wonderful night in Nagarkot so we could see the sunset and sunrise over the Himalayan Mountains. She accompanied us and spent the night in the same hotel. She was never late and we felt in good hands for entire stay. Most importantly, she is well educated and has an understanding of Nepalese history and religion. On our trip to Nepal in March we had 2 daytours (Kathmandu, Patan, Bhaktapur and Nagarkot) with Susan and her husband Anil. Both are excellent guides. They took us to all important places of the cities and explained us everything in a very good English. From the first moment when we met them we felt to be part of their family, especially when they took us to a Nepali wedding.
