Visiting Sicily in Oct. 2013 I had a fantastic time We got to see so many important and intriguing places. Our tour guide Marco Geraci was the main reason our trip was so enjoyable. His knowledge of the history and culture of Sicily was superb. He spoke fluent English and made the trip fun and entertaining. He made sure everyone's needs were met. He also answered all questions and concerns we may have had. All hotels and restaurants were excellent. We even took a few side trips off the beaten path that was so informative, such as the salt mines and honey farm. In October 2013 I had the wonderful opportunity to visit the most beautiful island in the world - Sicily. The trip was hugely successful thanks to the exceptional, caring and professional tour guide services of Mr. Marco Geraci. Mr. Geraci was very knowledgeable of Sicilian history, culture, language, music and food. We saw a great deal in a short amount of time thanks to the outstanding efforts of Marco. He kept us on schedule. Marco was also a fantastic manager of people and catered to the individual needs of all members of the group. Our group consisted of several people in their 80's, a few in their 70's, a few in their 60's and a family with a high school student. He was very sensitive to the needs of the group and the pace of the tour so that he could accommodate all participants request . Additionally, he monitored the health of the more sickly members of our group and made adjustments for them. During each of our bus rides he provided the group with a solid basic understanding of the historic sites we were going to see and things we should pay close attention to while visiting. When checking in to the various hotels, he checked to see if everything was acceptable to the travelers. In additional to being friendly, he was incredibly patient and answered hundreds of questions always with a smile on his face. As most of the participants on the trip had Sicilian roots, he was constantly asked difficult questions which he easily answered. A few of the travelers actually were able to connect with family members. Marco also was available to translate and even assisted with telephone inquiries. The hotels we stayed in were excellent as were all the restaurants. I stayed in Palermo for a few extra days and he gave me information on the local area, restaurants and tourist sites. As a very experienced international traveler, I would rate Mr. Geraci as one of the best tour guides I have ever had. Sicily is an amazing place!!! My experience was most definitely enhanced by our tour guide Marco. His extensive knowledge of culture and history is fantastic. My husband and I had an interest in exploring some cities of an evening on our own to which Marco was always able to advise us the best places to go. Marco made our needs his priority. In our group there were people of all ages and Marco was able to converse and relate to everyone with ease. I recommend this destination to everyone with Marco as your "must have tour guide"....
