My wife and I went to PR for Ironman 70.3 in March 2015. One of the items on our must visit list was the bio bay. We saw a flyer for Hectors tour at the Ironman expo and called right away. His tours are unlike the usual kayak tours as he leads a group of upto 5 people on surfboard (paddling on our bellies) into the beautiful glowing, magical, sparkling waters in the mangroves. It doesn't require any extra special fitness level, just the ability to paddle slowly on a long board with your hands laying on your stomach. We went with another athlete we met at the event and had a fantastic time. Hector picked us up from the hotel and brought us back safely. His price was far better than the hotel tours, smaller, more individual and FUN! Call Hector... he'll show you a beautiful part of PR you'd never see on your own.

We were interested in doing a snorkeling trip on our last day in San Juan and called Hector for a tour. This turned out to be the best day of our vacation and went beyond our expectations. He took the 4 of us (all in our 20s) to a small island off the coast of Fajardo and let us snorkel as long as we wanted. He showed us the wildlife and let us explore on our own as well. Since we did not have any plans later that day, he even included a trip to the natural rock slides which were incredible. We were able to experience so much more than if we were on a large, and much more expensive tour group, such as the one we took for the rainforest and biobay. We saw a flyer for Hectors tours while attending the Ironman 70.3 PR 2015 expo. We wanted to do the bio bay but wanted to stay away from the pricey hotel endorsed tours. Most bio bay tours are led by kayak but when we contacted Hector and learned that his was paddling on a surf board, this sounded much more intriguing. Hectors price also beats all other competitors by a landslide. He picked us up on time and returned us to our hotel safely. He was very easy to get in contact with and keeps his tours to maximum of 5 people to ensure a safe, individual experience for the small group. The tour by surf board was truly a unique and incredible experience. Being able to have your body in sparkling, magic like, glowing waters is beyond anything I've ever seen before. The tour is custom catered to your liking... If you want to paddle longer, you do. If you want to return, you do. we recommended Hector to a family we met the very next day and I gave his contact info to my friends who will be visiting next month. Our trip with Hector was more than just amazing. We came to Puerto Rico as a group of five students and Hector took us on the bio-bay tour at Fajardo. He was extremely friendly, informative, and helpful. With Hector, we got to enjoy the wonderful view of the bioluminescent bay on surf boards. Paddling through those mangroves in complete darkness, we were amazed to see dots of light shining on the surf boards and on our bodies. This is probably the best way to experience the bioluminescent bay since it brings you to the water as close as possible. We got wet, we got surprised, and we had a lot of fun. Oh, did I mention that you can expect some light refreshments and a free Spanish 101 lesson at the end of the trip? Having a wonderful bio-bay tour at an amazingly low price with such a wonderful guide was definitely a blessing. I highly recommended Hector to everyone visiting Puerto Rico! Hector was at the Ironman village at the Puerto Rico 70.3 event in March of 2015. Two other athletes I met on the way to PR told me that they had booked a tour with him and invited me to join them. What a great experience! Touring the phosphorescent bay by surfboard is a truly a magical experience and Hector was an amazing guide! Tours are small and personalized and he really will go out of his way to make sure you have had your fill of fun before returning you to reality.
