Awesome tour guide!

Reviewed April 2, 2017

Paras was a wonderful tour guide when I came to Nepal in 2014. I would recommend him highly. He has a cheerful, fun disposition, his English is perfect, and he has a deep knowledge of Nepalese history and culture. Also, he has a beautiful singing voice (so definitely ask him to sing for you) :-)

Paras in Kathmandu

Reviewed March 31, 2017

My wife and I have traveled with many tour guides all around the world. Paris is among the best - maybe the best - of them all. What all good tour guides possess, and where Paris excels, is:

- A love of and dedication to his country, culture and people, without regard to ethnic background, language or race.

- Deep and comprehensive knowledge of the history, natural features, recreational opportunities, politics, culture and issues that make up his or her country. Not only does Paris have the knowledge but he is skilled in synthesizing and analyzing the information to identify and communicate the implications of the facts that influenced history and, more importantly, the future in an honest and unbiased manner.

- An ability to communicate with clients. Communications involves not just speaking clearly but also listening carefully to clients to make sure they understand and to uncover areas of interest.

- Adaptability and willingness to tailor the time spent touring to the interests and needs of clients.

- Willingness to establish a personal rapport with clients, treating them as not only clients but as friends.

Again, this list describes Paris to a “T.” We hope to return to Nepal soon and travel with Paris to uncover the next layer of this fascinating county. I urge anyone traveling to Nepal to use Paris’s services. You won’t be disappointed!

We Love Paras!

Reviewed March 31, 2017

We were in Katmandu, Nepal in 2014 and had the pleasure of having  Paras Mani Amgain as our guide for 10 days in and around Kathmandu.  We met the first day to discuss our interests and came up with a plan together for our visit.  Every day Paras met us at the hotel and we went off on our adventures.

He is very knowledgeable of the history and told us stories about all the places we visited. Many times he would share his perspective of an event, which made it more interesting than something we might have read in a book. He was patient with all the questions I would ask and made sure I understood his answers.  He is a wonderful teacher and made the places come alive for me.

We traveled to Nagakort and stayed at a nice hotel he arranged.  We asked him to join us for dinner and he graciously shared his background, life, and told us about his family.  By the end of the week Paras became more than a guide, he became a friend.

We travel often and have had many guides and we rate Paras as one or our best guides. We highly recommend him.

Expert and Attentive Guide for Nepal

Reviewed March 29, 2017

We spent nearly 10 days in Nepal just before the big earth quake there.  During this time,  our guide, Paras, was there every inch of the way and was ready to help out.  He provided us with all the information about the various temples and even after I was home from the trip help me re-identify some of the places in my photos.  This continuing contact by him was/is remarkable and in all my travels, I have never had a guide so willing to follow up and help out.  Plus, he gave up his assigned window seat during  our airplane ride from Tibet just so that we could get photos of Everest.  So, yes, I would recommend him without hesitation and would hire him again if I get another chance to visit Nepal.

Wonderful Experience with Paras

Reviewed March 29, 2017

It was our first trip to Nepal celebrating our son's graduation from school in November 2016, our sons were very excited when they arrived in Kathmandu. The very next day we were warmly greeted by Paras as our tour guide for Kathmandu. We absolutely enjoyed his company throughout the tour, excellent english, very knowledgable about all the tourist places he took us.  We felt safe and comfortable going to different places with him, we shared a lot of laughs with him especially my teenage sons. Thank you Paras for making our tour a wonderful experience to remember.
