I just returned from an eight day Roadscholar program in the Galapagos with Mari as our guide. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job. Her knowledge of the geology and history of the Galapagos and of the bird, reptile and aquatic life on the islands was both broad and deep and she communicated her excitement ot our group. Mari was very attentive to safety and to providing appropriate activity choices for the range of abilities of our group. She worked with the crew of the Galaxy to ensure that all the details of our activities were handled seamlessly. Her sense of humor and warm personality made it a pleasure to be with her.

Mari was quite outstanding.  her knowledge of the islands and wildlife is encyclopaedic.  her enthusiasm, kindness and efficiency made our trip hugely enjoyable and memorable.  it's impossible to imagine anyone doing it better !  many thanks.

Mari was great!   She was incredibly knowledgeable, organized, and "tuned in" to the interests and needs of each individual, as well as the group.   Every day Mari shared her passion for the Galapagos Islands, its wildlife and its people and often engaged us in thoughtful, often humorous, evening conversations.   

Mari was an exceptionally knowledgeable guide. She was professional and attentive to the interests of the individuals in our group. For example, if one person was interested in seeing a particular species, she went out of her way to try to locate it. She has great skills in keeping the group interested and engaged in the current activity, and again went out of her way to try to meet the needs of all of the group members. Her knowledge of the ecosystem, history, and flora and fauna of each island of the Galapagos was astounishing. She shared her knowledge eagerly and her enthusiasm for her work was apparent to all.
