Mari is the best tour guide we have ever had.  She is extremely knowledgeable about island history, animals and plants.  She provided the right amount of information so we learned but didn't become overwhelmed.  The best part abouy Mari is not this wealth of knowledge, but her passion and enthusiasm towards the animals and nature, in general.  Every sea lion, iguana, bird, turtle or fish was exciting to her, so it was exciting to us.  Her joy is contagious!  See always had her eyes open, looking to show you something interesting.  She when above and beyond.  She also took safety very seriously. You would always leave her tour smiling.  We would do whatever we could to make sure we were on a tour with Mari, instead of other naturalists.  She was so much better than any others.  Her English is very good.  She has a vast vocabulary.    I wish she could be our tour guide on all future trips.  She is top notch.

There is no doubt that Mari made our time in Galapagos Islands incredible. She is very knowledgeable, passionate and very easy to talk to. I loved to see how excited she got whenever she spotted any of the fascinating flora & fauna around us, during our several visits.

Mari explained in detail each specie we had the opportunity to watch and also the differences between them.

You can tell she loves her job, her country and because of that, she was always very careful to avoid disturbing the animals in their natural habitat but vigilant to find the hidden ones.

Mariuxi made my Galapagos trip phenomenal.  She has so much enthusiasm for the wildlife in the Galapagos that made every person excited too.  She is incredibly knowledgeable on the area, history, flora, fauna, and easily answers all of your questions.  On our cruise ship, she regularly joined in with the travellers and it felt like you were among family with Mariuxi.  I regularly looked for a guide to as a question about an animal in my book and Mariuxi was always available to answer your questions.  You can tell that she is passionate about her job and enjoyed talking with everyone.  Her zodiac landings on the islands were always the most popular among the guests.  Mariuxi is the best tour guide I have ever had (and I have travelled in over 60 countries)!

No doubt Mari made our time in Galapagos Islands memorable. Her passion forNature is contagious, you can see her face and her reaction when she spot one of the many fascinating creatures that live in the different islands that make this a wonderfuldestination. Mari takes her time to explain in detail each specie we had the opportunity to watch and the difference between each family member. She was always cation not to disturb the animals in their natural habitat but vigilant to find the hidden ones. For me, she is the best.

Mari made our" trip of a lifetime" just that! Her passion, knowledge, enthusiam and love for the Galapagos are truly beyond words! My son and I were lucky enough to spend most of our excursions with her ....she is an inspiration to young and old alike. Mari deserves the distinction of being named one of the top 10 guides in the world. If you are lucky enough to have Mari as your guide, you will without a doubt experience a trip of a lifetime!!
