I just spent the last 9 days with Hem trekking the Annapurna Circuit. It was an enlightening and life changing experience! Hem is so helpful and knowledgeable. Not only did I have a great guide who handled everything, including logistics and interpretation, but I made a true friend in Nepal. My trek was spontaneous but flawless. While I was trekking with another tour company, I met Hem Raj at the Australian Camp. 

He was so friendly and passionate about his job! He has great knowledge about the area, its history and culture. You could spend hours talking about so many fascinating subjects.

What makes Hemraj such a brilliant guide is not his local knowledge, which is excellent, his positivity  or his ability to entertain but the fact that he puts his customers first everytime. He always works around what they want, and are able to do. He clearly loves his job, the Nepali countryside and spending time with his customers and it shows. 

He's also incredibly generous with his knowledge and willing to help and share what he knows with people on the trail who aren't using his guiding services. It was a joy to spend time with him.
