We sought to understand the rich history, Buddhism and locals’ lives in Bagan and Win explained everything in great detail.  I gained a lot of new knowledge and appreciation for the numerous pagodas after the tour. 

To tailor to my interest in seeing the real  locals’ lives, Win also brought us to a rural village with no foreign tourists. I got to interact with the local kids and came close with the various farm animals. Unexpectedly, Win took extra mile by providing us with candies to distribute to the cute village kids. The whole experience was astounding and meaningful.  

The greatest takeaway of the tour was to establish an authentic friendship with the local who is also our tour guide - Win.

Win is a kind,  very informed and diligent guide. He went above and beyond as a guide in Mandalay and Bagan. Highly recommended. I hired him for a day in each city and it was the perfect amount to see what I wanted. There were some times where I had to ask him to spell out certain words to understand him over his accent but overall a great experience and a little patience goes a long way. I asked him to take me to a local hangout to see more of the local life which was fun and I’d recommend you to do the same as temples can get a little boring after the first 20 :) he had me try the bethel nut which was also an experience! also he helped me get a last minute sunrise balloon ride which is a MUST in Bagan (the highlight of my entire trip). Highly worth the money for that (around $350usd)and win helped make that happen! 

Win is a great tour guide if you want someone who understands and can can explain culture, art , architecture and all aspects of Bagan and Buddhism. He’s friendly, reliable and probably the best choice for a rewarding experience. 

He was also great getting our 10 and 12yrs olds interested.
