The tour was very informative and respectful of the great tragedy of this battle. We opted for lunch at the restaurant located in the battlefield, and while the food was good, the service was very slow, and we lost a good bit of time.  It would have been better to have taken the sandwich option. I would definitely recommend Cecil as a guide.

Cecil took good care of our group of 15 people from Finland, all interested in history. We saw many WWI battlefield sites and the Douaumont fort in Verdun. He was well liked by the people. He gave us good information of the places we saw, and let a specialist guide show us around in the fort. He was a little uncertain about timing as it concerns the meal timing of a large group, but we managed to catch up, without sacrificing content. All in all, a very good job. I recommend him.

On 19 Apr 19, under outstanding weather, I fully enjoyed an excellent tour of several areas of the Verdun battlefield area. The group consisted of myself, mainly english speaking and my son-in-law, mainly french speaking.  Cecil was informative, friendly, and an excellent guide. knowledge still has some holes in his overall knowledge, but is obviously eager to learn. Can certainly recommend Cecil.

He spoke fluent English so this was not a problem for us    he certainly knew his information and related it well.   since this was our first time at the battlefield we relied on him to make decisions On what would be a good tour Cecil  however was somewhat in decisive in his suggestions As to what this tour should include.    As first time visitors to this battlefield his recommendations are very important to us
