My husband and I recently toured the Verdun WWI battlefield areas and the American Meuse Argonne Cemetery with Cecil.  He proved to be a very personable and excellent guide, going out of his way to research places we wanted to visit. At the American Cemetery, he contacted personnel prior to our visit so that my great-uncle's grave would have flags placed on it.  Afterwards, he suggested a drive through the beautful Lorraine countryside which ended in Nancy where we easily get a train back to Paris.  He was easy to communicate with as we planned our trip. We could not have asked for a better guide during our two-day visit to this area.

We had only one day to see Verdun , which is a tall order. Cecil picked us up from our hotel & during the drive to the sights gave us the history & background. Cecil had planned a full day which managed to include so many different aspects of the area. Cecil has great knowledge & enthusiasm, so despite our short visit we really learnt so much. We would definitely recommend Cecil.

Cécil went out of his way to find information for me about my French great grandfather, who fought and died in Verdun.

He was able to find my great grandfather's grave in Verdun, which made the trip even more meaningful.

I had a great full day tour with Cecil around Verdun battlefields! He speaks english fluently and it was easy organizing the tour with him, because he's very helpful and kind. Cecil drives carefully and he knows very well roads and places.  His general knowledge of the historical events is good, while he could improve about military details. I strongly recommend him!
