Cecil Graf is an amazing guide and translator. I am from Ohio. My cousin and I went to France to track down the village where my grandfather a US artillery officer fired the last shot at the Germans near the very small village of Vittarville, France about 18 miles North of Verdun. I have attached the photo of the event. The Mayor of Vittarville is reading from the shell casing to the village residents. Cecil arranged with the Mayor of the village to let us place a French flag at their memorial. We had the shell casing with us iwth the oordinates of the firing at the village of Vittariville which was occupied by the Germans. Because of Cecil help with the Mayor and the village residents, we were treated like royalty. It was a most amazing day. Cecil took us to Verdun, Doumond, Voquis and others. He is the best. We had a big reception and lunch with the Mayor and wife and he translated everything with skill and kindness. He is working on a presention for Americans, regarding Sgt York. It is near Verdun. He is the best!
