We enjoyed our tour with cecil very much! He explained the basics so it was easy to understand and also had a lot of specialized knowledge. The places we visited were very impressive. It was the "main attractions", but also impressive sites a bit off the the most common places. Both my Teenager and me would reccomend this tour! We communicated in german and that went very well, too. 

My son and I booked a last minute tour of Verdun on tourHQ  because we could not find from overseas any suitable or available dates during our week in France. Cecil is personable, knew how to tailor the tour based on our level of interest and knowledge of Verdun (my teenage son is a war history geek), and provided us tidbits of information that only a local with a vast library of critical research could muster.  We left wanting to return for more history, and will book Cecil for the next trips, as well.

We were lucky to have Cecil as our tour guide this Saturday in Verdun. He manages to combine being extremely knowledgeable, with plenty of historical information to communicate, with a genuine passion for the subject, plenty of anecdotes, stories about particular people and units. Not every guide can do this but he does it really well. I would have no hesitation in taking another tour with Cecil.

Cecil was an excellent tour guide. He was on time and extremely welcoming and knowledgeable. He fully introduced the battle of Verdun in the wider  context of the French experience of WW1 . He made great use of maps  to explain everything we saw. It was great to get his perspective on the way the battle is commemorated by French people .
