We went to Poon hill for a 5 day trek in a group of 4 with Suraj and it was a wonderful experience. I have been on a few treks in the Himalayas in the but I’ve never come across such an informative guide till date. He is super experienced, and had a lot of knowledge about the mountains, and birds in the region. Will recommend everyone to go for a trek with Suraj, it will be an experience that you will never forget.

Not only we have discovered Pokhara during 2 days but also we have enjoyed of a tour were nature, religion and history have been explained with a deep knowledge. Suraj is not the usual tour guider as apart from his knowledge he has empathy and proximity which makes you feel confident and comfortable in your visits. 100% grateful. Suraj has been a perfect guide (and photographer!!!) for our Mardi Hilma Trek in late April. Needless to mention how professional he is in his own field, I would like to say he is a very kind, caring and reliable person which you would love to make friend with. Suraj speaks very good English and have excellent knowledge of the forest and mountains all around! He helped to co-ordinate with hotel room for the night and car arrangement to Kathmandu on the next morning rapidly when the Pokhara airport closed unexpectedly due to bad weather. I can’t imagine how panic we will be without him!! Thank you very much Suraj for organizing this amazing trip! I’m glad that we had you – under your guidance, we all had a wonderful time in Nepal. I hope I can come again and see you soon.

Suraj was our guide for the 5 Days Mardi Himal Trek in early May 2024. He gave us a fresh experience and good memories for Nepal Hiking. Suraj is a knowledgable, professional and a friendly person. He tailor-made a hiking schedule with different speed and pace by observing our abilities and the difficulty of the route. His knowledgeable can be reflected by his familiarity with his surroundings such as Cobra plant, Rhododendron, (national flower of Nepal),alpine vegetation; the world top 10 highest mountains in the Himalayan range; shifting cultivation and cattle farming in Kalimati Village…… He is also good at photo taking and all our sweet memories in Day 4 : Early morning sunrise view from View Point (4004m) is still vivid in our mind. Last but not the least, he is so responsible to take care of us in pre and post trip transportation arrangements when we met spontaneous flight cancellation. His friendly attitude won great respect from everyone. It’s so nice to meet Suraj and his hardworking crew (porters) and family members and I highly recommend him as your guide when you visit Nepal in the near future.

Suraj Gurung was our guide on our trip to Mustang from April 10th to 18th 2024. We very happy with his support and we felt completely safe.
