Ascent of Toubkal/Local Excursions

Trip of a lifetime, no understatement. Was sad to leave after just over a week in the Atlas mountains, our guides were such selfless hosts, as well as great company. They were the highlight of the trip. Hats off especially to Hamid and Ibrahim, who took us safely up Toubkal and back down, with endless enthusiasm. That people write such glowing reviews is testament to their hard-work and passion. All of the guides were highly professional and made every effort to assist trekkers over tough terrain, and keep a comfortable pace in line with changes in altitude, although this was definitely easier for us having acclimatised in Imlil village before the ascent. More crucially perhaps, the foundations for long-standing friendships were laid and cemented. The mountain climate is blessed relief from the cauldron of heat that is Marrakech in high summer. I will definitely be encouraging people to apply to the follow-up expedition in 2017. For the most complete, authentic experience of the Atlas mountains, look no further.

Hamid is the best guide EVER! Together with a deep knowing of the valleys, trekking advices, he was all the time caring about us.

This eco-responsible travel it's the best way to get in touch with the locals (the berber people are very generous and interesting to know) and look at the astonishing Maroccan enviroment in an unexpected and unique way.

Definetly I want to come back to Marocco to enjoy a tour in the Sahara Desert, with Hamid of course!

We really enjoyed our time in the mountains. Hamid was a fantastic guide. He was kind and genuine and we enjoyed getting to know him. He made our experience a very memorable and comfortable one. We will definitely recommend your tour to other friends.

My husband and I hiked the High Atlas Mountains and rode the camels. This company was easy to communicate with. We booked two days in advance and corresponded through email. They met us at our riad. Our driver pointed out different types of things on the drive to the mountains. Our guide while in the mountains was very informative about the culture and took pictures for us when needed. We opted for the 3 hour hike, and it was beautiful. It included a hike up to view the highest peak, then we walked through some of the villages to a waterfall. The meal was the best tajine we had in Morocco. If we had more time in Morocco, we would have taken a several day trip with the company. Getting out of the city and enjoying the quiet and beauty of the mountains is more our style.
