Fantastisch experiences

Reviewed July 20, 2017

George was an absolute marvellous guide : as from the welcome to the airport and he even assisted us back into the airport to find the right check in an d he only left after we had checked in and also assisted us just as we had to go through customs

We spent 3,5 days together and he adapted his program onto ours as we ourselves had booked already some restaurants

We saw incredible lot of things ( table mouintain, waterfront, stellenbosch , frenschoek, Peninsula drive , pinguins kaapmde goede hoop and visited 2 winery's

As driving around George kept on explaining and telling about the things we saw

Without exaggerating George was the best guide we ever had : incredible knowledge , nice and sense of humour, helpful , always correct on time . And last but not least this all without being dull

We learned a lot so big THANKS George

One can see that his guy is passionate about his job

South Africa - great trip! George Meyer - great guide!

Reviewed June 17, 2017

My husband and I recently travelled to South Africa for a two week vacation - Cape Town, Winelands, Kruger, Joburg and Victoria Falls. The country was beautiful - the trip excellent. Helping to make this trip so enjoyable were the expert guides we had. George Meyer took us from Cape Town to the Winelands, spending two days with us in Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. His knowledge of the areas, the wineries, the people, the country's history, etc., made everything more interesting and personal. He spoke of his family, his childhood, the changes he has seen, and left us with many memorable experiences. I recommend him highly!

100 workers going to work!

We were in Cape Town in late April having arrived on the Queen Elizabeth Liner.  It was our first time in South Africa and wanted to see as much as possible at a leisurely but interesting pace with a good guide.

We met George by chance and asked him if he could fulfil the bill we had in mind.  He was absolutely amazing and very easy to spend time with and his knowledge of everything in South Africa made it all the more real. We went everywhere in Cape Town and to the vineries and the area of Stellenbosch.  It was a truly wonderful day and when we go back we wont hesitate to call George to take us around.  The vehicle he used was immaculate and he drove carefully and at a good speed.

If you want a marvellous guide please call George.

excellent guide who tried to determine our interests and planned our day around these. it worked really well as our interests were fairly broad and included culture, history winery visits and sporting interests.

As above including the pace of the day and the planning with another guide to get us to Robben Island

Outstanding guide - made memories for a lifetime

My husband and I and another couple came to Capetown early for a few days touring prior to boarding a cruise. It was roughly set up as a wine and city tour. Upon meeting George we were all delighted to discover that he was very cheerful, personable, and wanted to tailor the tour to our individual tastes. Among other feats, he timed things just so to get us onto Table Mountain while it was remarkably clear (a rare feat), and told us interesting facts about the plants and animals up there. We visited wonderful wineries and tasted chocolates as well. When he discovered that we were birders, he first brought us to a winery with a parade of ducks and then he brought us to a winery that does raptor rescue - all while serving excellent wine of course. We witnessed a phenomal raptor show and then got to personally visit some of the rehabbed birds. This included having owls perch all over us! It was so much fun. George also took us to see the penguin colony in Simon's Town and to a rock shop since we are all rock and gem collectors. In essence, he treated us to a whopping good time and was fun to be with as well as very knowledgeable about all that we saw and did. You can't go wrong with George as your guide.
