My husband and I booked a tour through South Africa.  George was our tour guide and did a fantastic job. He met us at the airport upon arrival to Cape Town and saw to every detail as we toured Cape Town, Kruger National Park and finally Victoria Falls and saw us off safely as we departed for home in Johannesburg.  He was knowledgeable, friendly, fun and flexible if needed. He made our trip one of the best experiences of our lifetime.

We will be forever grateful for his excellent service.  

George Meyer is a tour guide force to be reckoned with! Upon arrival, he made a great impression. He was professional, polite, accomodating to each of our unique personal needs and made sure the trip was meeting our highest expectations. His sense of humor and  wit made us laugh every day! His knowledge and love for all that is South Africa was evident at each  point of the adventure.  He connected with each traveler working diligently to make the experience impactful.  His wealth of knowledge about the history and current times in South Africa made for lively conversation.  He was prepared, on time and  knew intuitively how to pace the group.  We cannot say enough good things about George. He was the star of our team and held the lead position with great confidence.  We love George and will return to Africa , largely because of our experience with George as a guide for Micato Safaris.  We look forward to traveling again with George as our guide! 

We planned a lengthly tour of South Africa:  From Pretoria to Cape Town on the Blue Train.  Then staying in Cape Town for a week before meeting our tour group.  However, once we exited the Blue Train in Cape Town, we were met by such a friendly face:  George Meyer.  George guided us every step of the way throughout our visit to Cape Town, Kruger National Park, and Victoria Falls.  George's ability to communicate his vast knowledge of South African history with a friendly flair created an extremely wonderful experience that we shall never forget.  Occationally, local customs or cultures would throw us a curve, but George would reach into his expanding resourceful nature, adapt, overcome and inprovise a solution that was sound for everyone.  George's outstanding communication skills, combined with his extensive knowledge of the area, his friendly nature and unlimited resourcefulness reflects great credit upon himself and the entire Micato Safari Group.  Thanks for a great time George.  You're the greatest!

We had a relatively short stay in Cape Town and booked George for the Penninsula tour.  What an adventure. Hard to believe we saw so much in one day. And George was the quintessential tour guide. So knowledgeable and as pleasant as could be. He and my husband had a conversation going the entire time!! We saw flora and fauna all new to us and George new the names and history behind them all.  My favorite was taking a picture in front of the Cape Point land mark and the baboon decided to photo bomb the picture!!  Loved every minute of it!!! We will be back and we will be seeking out George for another adventure!

My family and I came in to Cape Town for a couple days  and from beginning to end, George went out of his way for us. He shares a perfect blend of personal and historical facts while you tour with him and he intuitively  gives space when needed. 

George was able to pack so much amazing activity into essentially one and a half days,  which is without a doubt a miracle. Our age range on this trip was from ages 2-73 years old and he had us all engaged all the way through.  A highlight from our experience with George was when he took us to a non tourist spot for lunch. It was the best meal I had in South Africa .
